LOCAL APPOINTMENTS (DECLARATION OF OFFICES) ORDER, 1927.

LOCAL APPOINTMENTS COMMISSIONERS

(DECLARATION OF OFFICES) ORDER, 1927.

(Made by the Minister for Lands and Agriculture).

WHEREAS it is enacted by sub-section (1) of Section 2 of the Local Authorities (Officers and Employees) Act, 1926 (No. 39 of 1926) that in that Act the expression " office to which this Act applies " means and includes certain offices and employments therein mentioned and also all such other offices and employments under a local authority as the Minister shall from time to time with the concurrence of the Local Appointments Commissioners declare to be offices to which that Act applies,

AND WHEREAS in the said Act the expression " local authority " includes a committee or joint committee appointed by one or more councils of counties or urban districts under the Technical Instruction Acts, 1889 and 1891 or under Section 14 of the Agriculture and Technical Instruction Act, 1899, to perform duties for the purposes of agriculture and other rural industries, and the expression " Minister " in relation to any such committee or joint committee or any officer or servant appointed by any such committee or joint committee means the Minister for Lands and Agriculture,

AND WHEREAS it is expedient that the said Act should apply to the offices and employments under any such committee or joint committee hereinafter mentioned,

NOW, I, PATRICK HOGAN, Minister for Lands and Agriculture, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sub-section (1) of Section 2 of the Local Authorities (Officers and Employees) Act, 1926 , (No. 39 of 1926) and of every and any other power me in this behalf enabling do, with the concurrence of the Local Appointments Commissioners testified by their signatures affixed to this order, hereby order and declare as follows :—

1. This Order may be cited for all purposes as the Local Appointments Commissioners (Declaration of Offices) Order, 1927.

2. The following offices and employments under any committee or joint committee appointed by one or more councils of counties or urban districts under the Technical Instruction Acts, 1889 and 1891, or under Section 14 of the Agriculture and Technical Instruction Act, 1899, to perform duties for the purposes of agriculture and other rural industries that is to say the several offices and employments of :—

Instructor in Agriculture,

Instructor in Poultry-keeping,

Instructor in Butter-making,

Instructor in Poultry-keeping and Butter-making,

Instructor in Butter-making and Home Cheese-making,

Instructor in Horticulture,

Instructor in Bee-keeping,

Instructor in Horticulture and Bee-keeping,

Tillage Demonstrator,

are offices to which the said Local Authorities (Officers and Employees) Act, 1926 , applies.
