CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT ACT, 1936 (DATE OF COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1936.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT ACT, 1936 (DATE OF COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1936.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT ACT, 1936 (DATE OF COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1936, MADE BY THE MINISTER FOR INDUSTRY AND COMMERCE ON THE 19TH DAY OF MAY, 1936, PURSUANT TO THE POWERS CONFERRED ON HIM BY SUB-SECTION (2) OF SECTION 1 of THE CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT ACT, 1936 .

WHEREAS it is enacted by sub-section (2) of Section 1 of the Conditions of Employment Act, 1936 (No. 2 of 1936), that the said Act shall come into operation on such day as shall be fixed for that purpose by order of the Minister for Industry and Commerce :

NOW, THEREFORE, the Minister for Industry and Commerce, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sub-section (2) of Section 1 of the Conditions of Employment Act, 1936 (No. 2 of 1936), and of all other powers enabling him in this behalf, does hereby order as follows, that is to say :—

1. This Order may be cited for all purposes as the Conditions of Employment Act, 1936 (Date of Commencement) Order, 1936.

2. The Conditions of Employment Act, 1936 (No. 2 of 1936), shall come into operation on the 29th day of May, 1936.
