RESOLUTION PASSED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE PHARMACEUTICAL SOCIETY OF IRELAND ON THE 14th FEBRUARY, 1950, AMENDING THE REGULATIONS OF THE SOCIETY.
|

That the Regulations be amended as follows :--
|
|
|
Delete Order of January 22nd, 1946, page 75 of Book of Acts and Regulations, and insert in lieu thereof :
|
|
|
Any candidate for the Licence Examination who holds a degree in Science in any Irish University may, on application by the Candidate, be exempted by the Council from (a) lectures, and/or (b) Examination in either or both of the subjects of Pharmaceutical and General Chemistry and Botany, provided the Candidate has passed in the University Examination for his degree in such subject or subjects.

Any candidate for the Licence Examination who holds a certificate or diploma as a pharmaceutical chemist or pharmacist from any College or Board of Pharmacy with which the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland has reciprocal relations may, on application by the candidate, be exempted from (a) Lectures and/or (b) Examination in the subjects of Pharmaceutical and General Chemistry, Botany, Materia Medica and Pharmacy ; and such Candidate, having submitted evidence of qualifications satisfactory to the Council (but not a Declaration Form as required by Reg. III Licence Examination) may, after six months residence in Ireland, be permitted to enter for the Licence Examination ; and having satisfied the Board of Examiners of his knowledge of the Sale of Poisons (Ireland) Act, the Arsenic Act of 1851, the Poisons and Pharmacy Act of 1908 and the D.D.A. Regulations, shall be entitled to Registration as a Pharmaceutical Chemist on payment of the requisite fee ; PROVIDED if
residence in Ireland is later denied to any person registered under this Regulation, then such denial of residence shall automatically cancel all such registrations and privileges.

The fee for examination or re-examination of a Candidate under this Regulation shall be eight guineas.
|
|
|
THAT the Seal of the Society be affixed hereto.
|
|
|
We hereby certify that the above is a correct copy of a resolution passed by the Council of the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland at a Meeting of the said Council on the 14th day of February, 1950.
