THE TRANSPORT TRIBUNAL. CORAS IOMPAIR ÉIREANN (WOODENBRIDGE-SHILLELAGH RAILWAY LINE) EXEMPTION ORDER, 1953. |

WHEREAS Córas Iompair Éireann applied on the 8th day of April, 1952, to the Transport Tribunal for an Exemption Order pursuant to Section 55 of the Transport Act, 1950 (No. 12 of 1950) in respect of the railway line between Woodenbridge and Shillelagh and the service of trains thereon as specified in the Schedule hereto: |

AND WHEREAS Notice of said application was duly published in the manner and at the times directed by the said Tribunal: |

AND WHEREAS objections by interested parties to the making of the Order applied for were received by the said Tribunal: |
||
AND WHEREAS the said Tribunal held a Sitting for hearing of the said objectors and the Board on the 21st day of October, 1952, due notice whereof was given to the said parties: |
||
AND WHEREAS at the said sitting after hearing such of the said Objectors as attended before them and also the Board the said Tribunal decided to make the Order applied for without modifications and without any limitation as to the period of its operation: |
||
NOW, WE, THE TRANSPORT TRIBUNAL, in exercise of the powers conferred on us by Section 55 of the Transport Act, 1950 (No. 12 of 1950) hereby order as follows:-- |
||
1. This Order may be cited as the Córas Iompair Éireann (Woodenbridge-Shillelagh Railway Line) Exemption Order, 1953. |
||
2. This Order shall come into operation on the twentieth day of April, 1953. |
||
3. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937) applies to this Order. |
||
4. Córas Iompair Éireann is hereby exempted from the obligation to restore the service of trains specified in the Schedule hereto which service was temporarily discontinued under the Emergency Powers (Córas Iompair Éireann) (Reduction of Railway Services) Order, 1944. |
||
SCHEDULE. |
||
The service of trains for passengers and merchandise on the railway line between Woodenbridge and Shillelagh in the County of Wicklow. |
||
