S.I. No. 225/1954:

HARBOUR RATES (WATERFORD HARBOUR) ORDER, 1954.

HARBOUR RATES (WATERFORD HARBOUR) ORDER, 1954.

I, WILLIAM NORTON, Minister for Industry and Commerce, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by Section 104 of the Harbours Act, 1946 (No. 9 of 1946), hereby order as follows :--

1.--(1) This Order may be cited as the Harbour Rates (Waterford Harbour) Order, 1954.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on the First day of November, 1954.

2. In this Order--

" Great Britain " includes the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man.

3. The rates set out in the Schedule to this Order are hereby fixed as the maximum rates to be charged by the Waterford Harbour Commissioners in respect of Waterford Harbour.

4. Every statutory or other provision fixing, restricting or otherwise regulating the rates or the maximum or minimum rates chargeable by the Waterford Harbour Commissioners on subjects of charge set out in the Schedule to this Order, or the basis on which or method by which such rates are computed, is hereby revoked.

On every ton of the net register tonnage or of half the gross tonnage whichever is the greater of every vessel discharging or loading cargo or passengers in the harbour, for each voyage made to or from the harbour, from or to any port or place in Great Britain, Northern Ireland or the State

One shilling and three pence

On every ton of the net register tonnage or of half the gross tonnage whichever is the greater of every vessel discharging or loading cargo or passengers in the harbour, for each voyage made to or from the harbour, from or to any port or place not in Great Britain, Northern Ireland or the State

Two shillings

3

On every ton of the net register tonnage of every vessel (other than a vessel bound from one port or place to any other port or place in Great Britain, Northern Ireland or the State) entering the harbour for the purpose of seeking refuge therein or for repairs or for orders, and not discharging or loading cargo or passengers

One penny three farthings
