S.I. No. 300/1971:

LOCAL GOVERNMENT (CHANGE OF NAME OF TOWNLAND) ORDER, 1971.

LOCAL GOVERNMENT (CHANGE OF NAME OF TOWNLAND) ORDER, 1971.

WHEREAS an application has been duly made to the Government under section 77 of the Local Government Act, 1946 (No. 24 of 1946), to make an order under that section changing the name of the townland specified in the Schedule to this Order:

NOW the Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by the said section 77 of the said Local Government Act, 1946 , hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Local Government (Change of Name of Townland) Order, 1971.

2. The name of the townland specified in the Schedule to this Order is hereby changed to Belcarra.

SCHEDULE.

The townland of Ballycarra in the district electoral division of Breaghwy in the administrative county of Mayo.

GIVEN under the Official Seal of the Government this 9th day of November, 1971.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order changes the name of the townland of Ballycarra in the administrative county of Mayo to Belcarra.
