I, BRIAN LENIHAN, Minister for Fisheries and Forestry, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 25 of the Wildlife Act, 1976 (No. 39 of 1976), as adapted by the Fisheries (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order, 1978 ( S.I. No. 195 of 1978 ), hereby order as follows: |

1. This Order may be cited as the Wildlife (Wild Mammals) (Open Seasons) Order, 1979. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2. ( a ) The species of protected wild mammals specified in the first column of Part I of the Schedule to this Order may be hunted throughout the State during the period of days specified in the second column of that Part opposite the mention in the said first column of such species and in the manner so specified in the third column of that Part. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
( b ) The species of protected wild mammal specified in the first column of Part II of the Schedule to this Order may be hunted throughout the State, exclusive of the County of Kerry, during the period of days specified in the second column of that Part opposite the mention in the said first column of such species and in the manner so specified in the third column of that Part. |

EXPLANATORY NOTE. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
The effect of this Order is to set out the Open Seasons during which Deer Species and Hares may be hunted throughout the State and the manner of hunting which may be used. |
