MAXIMUM PRICES (PRE-PACKAGED COAL) (No. 3) ORDER, 1979.

The Minister for Industry, Commerce and Energy, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 22A and 22C (inserted by the Prices (Amendment) Act, 1965 (No. 23 of 1965)) of the Prices Act, 1958 (No. 4 of 1958), as amended by the Prices (Amendment) Act, 1972 (No. 20 of 1972), the Prices Stabilisation Order, 1973 ( S.I. No. 96 of 1973 ), and the Industry and Commerce (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order, 1977 ( S.I. No. 306 of 1977 ), hereby orders as follows:--

1. (1) This Order may be cited as the Maximum Prices (Pre-packaged Coal) (No. 3) Order, 1979.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 25th day of October 1979.

2. (1) The maximum prices at which coal packed in a closed container or package may be sold by retail in any place in the State other than the county borough of Cork or the administrative county of Cork shall be--

( a ) in the case of a container or package containing 28 pounds or 12½ kilograms of coal, £0.93½,

( b ) in the case of a container or package containing 56 pounds or 25 kilograms of coal, £1.83, and

( c ) in the case of a container or package containing more than 56 pounds or 25 kilograms of coal, a sum calculated at the rate of £3.55 per hundredweight or per 50 kilograms, as the case may be.

(2) The maximum prices at which coal packed in a closed container or package may be sold by retail in the county borough of Cork or the administrative county of Cork shall be--

( a ) in the case of a container or package containing 28 pounds or 12½ kilograms of coal £1.06,

( b ) in the case of a container or package containing 56 pounds or 25 kilograms of coal, £2.03½, and

( c ) in the case of a container or package containing more than 56 pounds or 25 kilograms of coal, a sum calculated at the rate of £4.00 per hundredweight or per 50 kilograms, as the case may be.

3. The Maximum Prices (Pre-packaged Coal) (No. 2) Order, 1979 ( S.I. No. 71 of 1979 ), is hereby revoked.
