DEFENCE (AMENDMENT) (No. 2) ACT, 1979 (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1980.

I, PADRAIG FAULKNER, Minister for Defence, in exercise of the power conferred on me by section 8 (4) of the Defence (Amendment) (No. 2) Act, 1979 (No. 28 of 1979), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Defence (Amendment) (No. 2) Act, 1979 (Commencement) Order, 1980.

2. The 23rd day of January, 1980 is hereby fixed as the day on which the Defence (Amendment) (No. 2) Act, 1979 (No. 28 of 1979), shall come into operation.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.
