EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES (FEEDING STUFFS) (ADDITIVES) (AMENDMENT) (NO. 2) REGULATIONS, 1981.

I, ALAN M. DUKES, Minister for Agriculture in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the European Communities Act, 1972 ( No. 27 of 1972 ), and for the purpose of giving effect to Commission Directive No. 80/678/EEC of 4 July, 1980 (1) hereby make the following regulations:

1. (1) These Regulations may be cited as the European Communities (Feeding Stuffs) (Additives) (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations.

(2) The collective citation “the European Communities (Feeding Stuffs)-(Additives) (Amendment) Regulations, include these Regulations.

2. Regulation 2 of the European Communities (Feeding Stuffs) (Additives) Regulations, 1974 ( S.I. No. 302 of 1974 ), as amended by Regulation 3 of the European Communities (Feeding Stuffs) (Additives) (Amendment) Regulations, 1979 ( S.I. No. 6 of 1979 ), Regulation 2 of the European Communities (Feeding Stuffs) (Additives) (Amendment) Regulations, 1980 ( S.I. No. 250 of 1980 ), and Regulation 2 of the European Communities (Feeding Stuffs) (Additives) (Amendment) Regulations, 1981 ( S.I.No. 262 of 1981 ), shall be construed and have effect as if the reference in the definition of “the Council Directive” to the Ninth Commission Directive No. 74/421/EEC of 23rd July, 1974 (2) , included a reference to the Thirty-Third Commission Directive No. 80/678/EEC of 4th July, 1980(3) .

3. These Regulations shall come into operation on the 16th day of November 1981.

These Regulations amend the European Communities (Feeding Stuffs) (Additives) Regulations, 1974 to 1981 so as to bring into force amendments made to Council Directive 70/524/EEC through the thirty-third Commission Directive.
