S.I. No. 174/1987:

FREE PORTS ACT, 1986 (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1987.

FREE PORTS ACT, 1986 (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1987.

I, BRENDAN DALY, Minister for the Marine, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 17 (3) of the Free Ports Act, 1986 (No. 6 of 1986), and the Communications (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order, 1987 ( S.I. No. 91 of 1987 ), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Free Ports Act, 1986 (Commencement) Order, 1987.

2. The 1st day of July, 1987, is hereby fixed as the day on which the Free Ports Act, 1986 (No. 6 of 1986), shall come into operation.

GIVEN under my Official Seal, this 23rd day of June, 1987.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order brings the Free Ports Act, 1986 into operation.
