		S.I. No. 167/1990: EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES (DEHYDRATED PRESERVED MILK) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1990.
		EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES (DEHYDRATED PRESERVED MILK) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1990.
		I, MICHAEL O'KENNEDY, Minister for Agriculture and Food, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the European Communities Act, 1972 (No. 27 of 1972), and for the purpose of giving effect to First Commission Directive 87/524/EEC⁽¹⁾ of 6th October, 1987, hereby make the following Regulations:
		⁽¹⁾O.J. No. L306 28.10.87 p. 24
		1. (1) These Regulations may be cited as the European Communities (Dehydrated Preserved Milk) (Amendment) Regulations, 1990.
		(2) The European Communities (Dehydrated Preserved Milk) Regulations, 1980 ( S.I. No. 152 of 1980 ), the European Communities (Dehydrated Preserved Milk) (Amendment) Regulations, 1987 ( S.I. No. 68 of 1987 ), and these Regulations may be cited together as the European Communities (Dehydrated Preserved Milk) Regulations, 1980 to 1990, and shall be construed together as one.
		(3) These Regulations shall come into operation on the 14th day of June, 1990.
		2. The European Communities (Dehydrated Preserved Milk) Regulations, 1980 ( S.I. No. 152 of 1980 ), are hereby amended by the substitution of the following Regulation for Regulation 15:
		"15. The taking of samples as referred to in the Annex to First Commission Directive 87/524/EEC^(1A) of 6th October, 1987, shall be carried out in accordance with the methods described therein and the methods of analysis to be used by the Minister for testing products to which these Regulations apply shall be in accordance with the provisions of the First Commission Directive of 13th November, 1979⁽²⁾, laying down community methods of analysis for testing partly or wholly dehydrated preserved milk for human consumption".

		EXPLANATORY NOTE.
		This Order implements EEC Commission Directive 87/524 on Community methods of sampling for chemical analysis for the monitoring of preserved milk products.
