EMPLOYMENT AGENCY REGULATIONS, 1993. |

I, RUAIRÍ QUINN, Minister for Enterprise and Employment, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sections 1 and 8 of the Employment Agency Act, 1971 (No. 27 of 1971) and the Labour (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order, 1993 (S.I. 18 of 1993), hereby make the following Regulations: |

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Employment Agency Regulations, 1993. |
||
2. In these Regulations "the Principal Regulations" means the Employment Agency Regulations, 1972 ( S.I. No. 255 of 1972 ). |
||
3. The Principal Regulations and these Regulations may be cited together as the Employment Agency Regulations, 1972 to 1993. |
||
4. These Regulations shall come into operation on the 1st day of March, 1993. |
||
5. Regulation 5 of the Principal Regulations is hereby amended by the substitution of £400 for £200 (inserted by the Employment Agency Regulations, 1988) in paragraph (b), and that Regulation as so amended is set out in the Table to this Regulation. |

5. Every application for a licence under section 3 of the Act shall-- |
||
( a ) be in the form contained in Schedule 2 of these Regulations; |
||
( b ) be accompanied by a fee of £400, and |
||
( c ) contain the particulars indicated in the form contained in that Schedule. |

EXPLANATORY NOTE. |
||
The purpose of this Regulation is to increase the fee for an employment agency licence to £400. |
