S.I. No. 183/1994:

REFERENDUM ACT, 1994 (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1994.

REFERENDUM ACT, 1994 (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1994.

The Minister for the Environment, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 1 (3) of the Referendum Act, 1994 (No. 12 of 1994), hereby orders as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Referendum Act, 1994 (Commencement) Order, 1994.

2. The Referendum Act, 1994 shall come into operation on the date of the making of this Order.

GIVEN under the Official Seal of the Minister for the Environment, this 28th day of June, 1994.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order brings the provisions of the Referendum Act, 1994 (which provides for the consolidation with amendments of the statutory provisions relating to the conduct of referenda) into operation on 28th June, 1994.
