I, SEAN BARRETT, T.D., Minister for the Marine, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 1 (2) of the Merchant Shipping (Liability of Shipowners and Others) Act, 1996 (No. 35 of 1996), hereby order as follows: |
||

1. This Order may be cited as the Merchant Shipping (Liability of Shipowners and Others) Act, 1996 (Commencement) Order 1997. |
||
|
2. The 6th day of February, 1997, is hereby fixed as the day on which the Merchant Shipping (Liability of Shipowners and Others) Act, 1996 (No. 35 of 1996), shall come into operation. |
||
