COMPANIES (AMENDMENT) ACT, 1999 (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1999

I, MARY HARNEY, Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment, in the exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 7(3) of the Companies (Amendment) Act, 1999 (No. 8 of 1999) , hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Companies (Amendment) Act, 1999 (Commencement) Order, 1999.

2. The 24th day of May, 1999, is hereby fixed as the day on which the Companies (Amendment) Act, 1999 (No. 8 of 1999) , shall come into operation.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Instrument and does not purport to be a legal interpretation.)

This Order fixes the 24th day of May, 1999 as the day on which the provisions of the Companies (Amendment) Act, 1999 shall come into operation.
