NATIONAL SOCIAL SERVICE BOARD (MEMBERSHIP) REGULATIONS, 1998.

The Minister for Social, Community and Family Affairs in exercise of the powers conferred on him by subsection (7) of section 6 of the National Social Service Board Act, 1984 ( No. 2 of 1984 ), hereby makes the following Regulations:

Citation.

1. These Regulations may be cited as the National Social Service Board (Membership) Regulations, 1998.

Number of members.

2. The maximum number of members of the Board, in addition to the chairman and vice-chairman, specified in section 6(1) of the National Social Service Board Act, 1984 (as varied by the National Social Service Board (Membership) Regulations, 1995 ( S.I. No. 221 of 1995 ) is hereby varied by the substitution of “eighteen” for “fifteen”.

These Regulations provide for an increase in the number of members of the National Social Service Board, in addition to the chairman and vice-chairman, from fifteen to eighteen.
