EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES (FEEDINGSTUFFS INTENDED FOR PARTICULAR NUTRITIONAL PURPOSES) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1999.

I, JOE WALSH, Minister for Agriculture and Food, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the European Communities Act, 1972 ( No. 27 of 1972 ), and for the purposes of giving effect to Commission Directive 99/78/EC of 27 July 1999¹ and for the purposes of giving further effect to Commission Directive 95/10/EC of 7 April 1995² , as amended, hereby make the following Regulations.

1. (1) These Regulations may be cited as the European Communities (Feedingstuffs Intended for Particular Nutritional Purposes) (Amendment) Regulations, 1999.

(2) The European Communities (Feedingstuffs Intended for Particular Nutritional Purposes) Regulations, 1996 and these Regulations may be cited collectively as the European Communities (Feedingstuffs Intended for Particular Nutritional Purposes) Regulations, 1996 to 1999.

2. The date of “30 June 1998” in Part A, point 10 of the Schedule to the European Communities (Feedingstuffs Intended for Particular Nutritional Purposes) Regulations, 1996 is hereby replaced by “30 March 2002”.

These Regulations amend the European Communities (Feedingstuffs Intended for Particular Nutritional Purposes) Regulations, 1996 so as to give effect to Commission Directive 99/78/EC.
