I, DAVID ANDREWS, T.D., Minister for Foreign Affairs, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 18(5) of the Geneva Conventions (Amendment) Act, 1998 (No. 35 of 1998) , hereby order as follows: |

|
1. This Order may be cited as the Geneva Conventions (Amendment) Act, 1998 (Commencement) Order, 2000. |
||||||||
|
2. The 17th day of January, 2000, is hereby appointed as the day on which the Geneva Conventions (Amendment) Act, 1998 shall come into operation. |
