I, MICHAEL WOODS Minister for Education & Science, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 1(3) of the Vocational Education (Amendment) Act 2001 ( No. 23 of 2001 ), hereby order as follows: |
||||||
|
1. This Order may be cited as the Vocational Education (Amendment) Act, 2001 (Commencement) Order, 2001. |
||||||
|
2. The 20th day of July, 2001, is appointed as the day on which -- |
||||||
|
(a) the repeal of section 23 of the Principal Act, effected by section 4 of the Vocational Education (Amendment) Act, 2001 (No. 23 of 2001) , save in so far as the said section 23 relates to a person appointed under that section, who immediately before such day held -- |
||||||
|
(i) office as chief executive officer of a vocational education committee, |
||||||
|
(ii) office as an officer of such a committee (other than chief executive officer), or |
||||||
|
(iii) any other position under that section, and |
||||||
|
(b) sections 11, 12, 15 and 20, of the second-mentioned Act, |
||||||
|
shall come into operation. |
