Travel Agents (Licensing) (Amendment) Regulations, 2006.

The Commission for Aviation Regulation, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 7 of the section 9 of the Aviation Regulation Act, 2001 (No 1 of 2001), hereby makes the following regulations:

1.         These Regulations may be cited as the Travel Agents (Licensing) (Amendment) Regulations, 2006.

2.         These Regulations shall come into operation on 1 November 2006.

3.         In these Regulations, the -�Principal Regulations-� means the Travel Agents (Licensing) Regulations, 1993, (S.I. 183 of 1993).

4.         Regulations 5 and 6 (a) of the Principal Regulations are hereby revoked.

5.         The First Schedule to the Principal Regulations is hereby revoked.

6.         The following Regulation is substituted for Regulation 8 of the Principal Regulations:

-�A person who applies for a travel agent's licence shall, if the Commission so requires, furnish any information requested by it to enable it to satisfy itself as to any or all of the matters specified in section 6 (3) of the Act.-�

The purpose of these Regulations is to remove from the Travel Agents (Licensing) Regulations, 1993 certain provisions relating to the application form for a travel agent's licence.
