ORDER

entitled

Vocational Education (Amendment) Act 1944 (Removal of Officer) Order 2006

I, Mary Hanafin, Minister for Education and Science, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 8 of the Vocational Education (Amendment) Act, 1944 (No. 9 of 1944), as applied by section 11(9) of the Regional Technical Colleges Act, 1992 (No. 16 of 1992), having considered representations made to me and being satisfied that Mr. Denis McCarthy has failed to perform satisfactorily the duties of his office of Lecturer at Dundalk Institute of Technology, Co. Louth, that statutory grounds exist for his removal from office and being of opinion that he is unfit for such office, hereby order as follows:

1.       This Order may be cited as the Vocational Education (Amendment) Act 1944 (Removal of Officer) Order 2006.

2.       Mr. Denis McCarthy shall be removed from his office of Lecturer at Dundalk Institute of Technology, Co. Louth with effect from the date hereof.
