AGRICULTURE AND FOOD (ALTERATION OF NAME OF DEPARTMENT AND TITLE OF MINISTER) ORDER 2007

Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

�Iris Oifigi�il� of 26th October, 2007.

The Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 6(1) of the Ministers and Secretaries (Amendment) Act 1939 (No. 36 of 1939), hereby order as follows:

1. (1) This Order may be cited as the Agriculture and Food (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order 2007.

(2) This Order comes into operation on 20 October 2007.

2. The name of the Department of State, the present name of which is, in the Irish language, An Roinn Talmha�ochta agus Bia and, in the English language, the Department of Agriculture and Food, is altered, in the Irish language, to that of An Roinn Talmha�ochta, Iascaigh agus Bia and, in the English language, to that of the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food.

3. The title of the Minister having charge of the Department of State, whose present title is, in the Irish language, an tAire Talmha�ochta agus Bia and, in the English language, Minister for Agriculture and Food, is altered, in the Irish language, to that of an tAire Talmha�ochta, Iascaigh agus Bia and, in the English language, to that of the Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food.

4. In an enactment or instrument made under an enactment-

(a) references to the Department of Agriculture and Food shall be construed as references to the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, and

(b) references to the Minister for Agriculture and Food shall be construed as references to the Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food.
