I, SIMON COVENEY, Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the European Communities Act 1972 (No. 27 of 1972), for the purpose of giving further effect to Commission Implementing Decision 2013/635/EU of 31 October 20131 , hereby make the following regulations: |

1. TheseRegulations may be cited as the European Communities (Avian Influenza) (Control on Movement of Pet Birds) (Amendment) Regulations 2013. |
||
|
2. The European Communities (Avian Influenza) (Control on Movement of Pet Birds) Regulations 2007 ( S.I. No. 96 of 2007 ) are amended in Regulation 2(1) by substituting for the definition of "Commission Decision" (inserted by the European Communities (Avian Influenza) (Control on Movement of Pet Birds) (Amendment) Regulations 2012 (S.I. 305 of 2012) the following- |

"Commission Decision" means Commission Decision 2007/25/EC of 22 December 2006, Commission Decision 2010/734/EU of 30 November 2010, Commission Implementing Decision 2012/248/EU of 7 May 2012 and Commission Implementing Decision 2013/635 of 31 October 2013". |
||
|
3. The European Communities (Avian Influenza) (Control on Movement of Pet Birds) (Amendment) Regulations 2012 (S.I. 305 of 2012) are revoked. |
||
|

This Order gives effect to Commission Implementing Decision 2013/635 of 31 October 2013 amending Decisions 2005/734/EC, 2006/415/EC and 2007/25/EC, as regards the importation into the Union of pet birds. |
