The Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 6 (1) of the Ministers and Secretaries (Amendment) Act 1939 (No. 36 of 1939), hereby order as follows: |
||
|
1. This Order may be cited as the Worker Participation (State Enterprises) Act 1977 (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order 2015. |
||
|
2. (1) The administration and business in connection with the exercise, performance or execution of the functions transferred by Article 3 are transferred to the Department of Communications, Energy and Natural Resources. |
||
|
(2) References to the Department of Transport, Tourism and Sport contained in any Act or any instrument made thereunder and relating to any administration and business transferred by paragraph (1) shall, from the commencement of this Order, be construed as references to the Department of Communications, Energy and Natural Resources. |
||
|
3. (1) The functions vested in the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport by or under the Worker Participation (State Enterprises) Act 1977 (No. 6 of 1977) by virtue of section 2(a)(ii) of that Act (as amended by section 14 of the Worker Participation (State Enterprises) Act 1988 (No. 13 of 1988)), are hereby transferred to the Minister for Communications, Energy and Natural Resources. |

|
(2) References to the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport contained in any Act or any instrument made thereunder and relating to any functions transferred by this Article shall, on and from the commencement of this Order, be construed as references to the Minister for Communications, Energy and Natural Resources. |

This Order transfers to the Minister for Communications, Energy and Natural Resources and to the Department of Communications, Energy and Natural Resources, respectively, with effect from the date of this Order, the Departmental Administration and Ministerial functions in relation to Section 2 (a)(ii) of the Worker Participation (State Enterprises), Act 1977 (as amended by Section 14 of the Worker Participation Act 1988 ) with regard to Bord na Móna and the Electricity Supply Board. |
