Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in | ||

I, HEATHER HUMPHREYS, Minister for Social Protection, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 1 (3) (as adapted by the Employment Affairs and Social Protection (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order 2020 ( S.I. No. 447 of 2020 )) of the Parent’s Leave and Benefit Act 2019 (No. 35 of 2019), hereby order as follows: | ||
1. This Order may be cited as the Parent’s Leave and Benefit Act 2019 (Section 29) (Commencement) Order 2022. | ||
2. The 1st day of July 2022 is appointed as the day on which section 29 of the Parent’s Leave and Benefit Act 2019 (No. 35 of 2019) (except insofar as it already is in operation) shall come into operation. | ||

This Order provides for the commencement of section 29 of the Parent’s Leave and Benefit Act 2019 insofar as it relates to the insertion of paragraph (b)(ii)(III) of the definition of “relevant parent” in section 61F(1) of the Social Welfare Consolidation Act 2005 (No. 26 of 2005). |
