Breach of a 1 year Probation Order, with 240 hours Community Service, made by the Inferior Number of the Royal Court on 4th June, 1999. (See Jersey Unreported Judgment of that date: 1999/99) following a guilty plea to:

JUDGMENT
THE DEPUTY BAILIFF:
1. At the last hearing you were warned that if you did not complete the Community Service you were likely to be sent to prison.
2. You have come within an ace of being sent to prison on this occasion, but in the light of what your Counsel has said, we are going to take a lenient step, but you must be punished for the fact that you did not complete the Community Service as originally envisaged.
3. We are therefore going to discharge the Probation Order, and instead impose a new Community Service Order so that you must undertake 200 hours within the period of 12 months, and we state that had we not done that we would have been thinking of a prison sentence of 9 months imprisonment as requested by the Crown, which we consider to have been eminently reasonable. Let me make it absolutely clear to you this time: if you do not perform this work promptly, enthusiastically, and as directed by the Community Service Order, you will find yourself being brought back here, and on that second occasion you are bound to be sent to prison. So it is up to you.
