DECISION

The unanimous decision of the tribunal is that the respondent did not discriminate against the claimant on the ground of his age; and it is ordered that the claimant do pay to the respondent the sum of £1,500.00, together with value added tax thereon, in respect of costs incurred by the latter.

1.       The claimant’s claim of age discrimination is dismissed.

 

2.       The claimant is ordered to pay to the respondent the sum of £1,500.00, together with VAT thereon, in respect of costs incurred by the latter.  The tribunal is satisfied that the bringing of the proceedings by the claimant was misconceived.

 

3.       Oral reasons for the decision were given at the hearing.
