1. The claimant presented her claim to the industrial tribunal on 13 April 2011. The parties were notified of the hearing date on 16 August 2011 by Notice dated 13 June 2011. The claimant did not attend the hearing. The tribunal was satisfied that the claimant was properly notified of the hearing. The tribunal considered that there was insufficient information available to it on the case papers to satisfy the tribunal that it was appropriate to make findings in the claimant’s favour. The tribunal did not have the benefit of hearing evidence from the claimant. As the burden of proof lies with the claimant; the tribunal has determined that the claimant’s claims be dismissed.
