(A)      The claimant’s wages claim is well-founded and it is ordered that the respondent shall pay to the claimant the sum of £448 in respect of wages.

 

(B)      The claimant’s holiday pay claim is well-founded and it is ordered that the respondent shall pay to the claimant the sum of £728 in respect of holiday pay.

 

(C)     The claimant’s redundancy pay claim against the respondent is well-founded and it is declared that the respondent is liable to make a redundancy payment of £3,640 to the claimant.

REASONS

 

 

  1. I was satisfied that “Carpets Direct” was the trade name under which Mrs Lynne McClean carried on business, and that the proper name of the respondent was therefore Lynne McClean; and the title of the proceedings has been altered accordingly.
                
  2.  I announced my decision at the end of the hearing.  At the same time, I   gave brief oral reasons for that decision.

 

  1. This Decision is based on the following information:

 

Gross weekly pay: £280

 

Net weekly pay: £240

 

Number of actual completed years of service: 13

 

Age on date of dismissal: 38

 

Multiplier (for redundancy pay): 13

 

  1. This is a relevant decision for the purposes of the Industrial Tribunals (Interest) Order (Northern Ireland) 1990.
