130.(1) A justice of the peace on issuing a warrant for the arrest of any person may, if he thinks fit, by endorsement on the warrant, direct that the person named, described or otherwise identified in the warrant shall on arrest be released on his entering into such a recognizance as may be specified in the endorsement; and the endorsement shall fix the amounts in which the principal and the sureties, if any, are to be bound or the amount of any security permitted to be deposited in lieu of sureties. (2) Where such an endorsement is made, the member of the Royal Ulster Constabulary for the time being in charge of the constabulary station to which the arrested person is brought shall discharge him on his entering into a recognizance with sureties approved by that member or without sureties or accompanied by the deposit of a security in lieu of such sureties or without such security, in accordance with the terms of the endorsement, conditioned for his appearance before the court named and at the time and place specified in the recognizance.
