POLLUTION CONTROL AND LOCAL GOVERNMENT (NORTHERN IRELAND) ORDER 1978 - SECT 77 



77. The Department may cause a local inquiry to be held in any case in which
the Department considers it appropriate for such an inquiry to be held either
in connection with a provision of this Order or with a view to preventing or
dealing with pollution or noise at any place.
