The Higher Education (2005 Order) (Commencement) Order (Northern Ireland) 2006
The Department for Employment and Learning, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Article 1(3) of the Higher Education (Northern Ireland) Order 2005[1] makes the following Order:
Citation and interpretation
1.
—(1) This Order may be cited as the Higher Education (2005 Order) (Commencement) Order (Northern Ireland) 2006.
(2) In this Order "the 2005 Order" means the Higher Education (Northern Ireland) Order 2005.
Appointed day
2.
The day appointed for the coming into operation of the following provisions of the 2005 Order is 13th February 2006:
Article 4 to the extent that it is not already in operation;
Articles 8 and 9 to the extent that they are not already in operation;
Article 15 (together with the Schedule).

EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order appoints 13th February 2006 for the coming into operation of the remaining provisions of the Higher Education (Northern Ireland) Order 2005.
Article 2 commences provisions concerning the imposition by the Department for Employment and Learning of conditions to control fees at higher education institutions.
