JUSTICE

The Justice (Northern Ireland) Act 2002 (Addition of Listed Judicial Offices etc.) Order 2006

  Made 23rd November 2006 
  To be laid before Parliament  
  Coming into operation
  Except for Rule 3 18th December 2006 
  Rule 3 1st April 2007 

The Lord Chancellor makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 2(2)(a) and 19(4)(a) of the Justice (Northern Ireland) Act 2002[1] and (in relation to section 2(2)(a)) with the agreement of the Lord Chief Justice.

Citation and commencement
     1. —(1) This Order may be cited as the Justice (Northern Ireland) Act 2002 (Addition of Listed Judicial Offices etc.) Order 2006 and shall come into operation in accordance with paragraphs (2) and (3).

    (2) This rule and rule 2 shall come into operation on 18th December 2006.

    (3) Rule 3 shall come into operation on 1st April 2007.

Amendment to the Justice (Northern Ireland) Act 2002
     2. At the end of Schedule 1 (Listed judicial offices) insert—

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)


This Order amends the Justice (Northern Ireland) Act 2002 (c.26) to add the offices of President and Member of the Northern Ireland Valuation Tribunal to:—

The Northern Ireland Valuation Tribunal is established by Article 36A of and Schedule 9B to the Rates (Northern Ireland) Order 1977 (S.I. 1977/2157 N.I.28) as amended by Article 29 of and Schedule 1 to the Rates (Amendment) (Northern Ireland) Order 2006 (S.I. 2006/2954 N.I.18).
