The Department of the Environment makes this Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 20 of the High Hedges Act (Northern Ireland) 2011(1).
1.-(1) This Order may be cited as the High Hedges (2011 Act) (Commencement) Order (Northern Ireland) 2012.
(2) In this Order-
"the Act" means the High Hedges Act (Northern Ireland) 2011; and
"the Department" means the Department of the Environment.
2.-(1) 31st January 2012 is the day appointed for the coming into operation of the provisions of the Act specified in column 1 of the Schedule, for the purposes set out in column 3 of the Schedule.
(2) 31st March 2012 is the day appointed for the coming into operation of all provisions of the Act not otherwise brought into operation by this Order.

This Order provides for the coming into operation of the provisions of the High Hedges Act (Northern Ireland) 2011 ("the Act").
31st January 2012 is the day appointed for the coming into operation of the provisions specified in column 1 of the Schedule (for the purposes specified in column 3 of the Schedule).
31st March 2012 is the day appointed for the coming into operation of all provisions of the Act not otherwise brought into operation by this Order.
