EDUCATION

The Education Maintenance Allowances (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 2004

  Made 22nd June 2004 
  Laid before the Scottish Parliament 24th June 2004 
  Coming into force 2nd July 2004 

The Scottish Ministers, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 73(f) of the Education (Scotland) Act 1980[1] and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby make the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement
     1. These Regulations may be cited as the Education Maintenance Allowances (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 2004 and shall come into force on 2nd July 2004.

Amendment of Regulations
    
2. In paragraph 6(a)(i) of Schedule 1 to the Education Maintenance Allowances (Scotland) Regulations 2004[2] for "Scottish Ministers" substitute "Secretary of State for the Home Department".

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Regulations)


These Regulations correct a technical defect in paragraph 6(a)(i) of Schedule 1 to the Education Maintenance Allowance (Scotland) Regulations 2004.
