WATER SUPPLY

The Scottish Water, Prevention of Water Pollution (Milngavie Waterworks) Byelaws Extension Order 2004

  Made 15th October 2004 
  Coming into force 10th November 2004 

The Scottish Ministers, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 72(4) of the Water (Scotland) Act 1980[1] and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby make the following Order:

Citation and commencement
     1. This Order may be cited as the Scottish Water, Prevention of Water Pollution (Milngavie Waterworks) Byelaws Extension Order 2004 and shall come into force on 10th November 2004.

Extension
    
2. The period during which the Strathclyde Regional Council, Prevention of Water Pollution (Milngavie Waterworks) Byelaws 1993[2] are to remain in force is hereby extended to 11th May 2006.

[1] 1980 c.45. The functions of the Secretary of State were transferred to the Scottish Ministers by virtue of section 53 of the Scotland Act 1998 (c.46).back

[2] The functions of Strathclyde Regional Council under sections 70 to 72 of the Water (Scotland) Act 1980 (c.45) were transferred to West of Scotland Water by section 62 of the Local Government etc. (Scotland) Act 1994 (c.39), and subsequently transferred to Scottish Water by section 21 of the Water Industry (Scotland) Act 2002 (asp 3).
