(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order, which extends to Scotland only, amends the Pigs (Records, Identification and Movement) Order 1995 by replacing the reference to Council Directive 92/102/EEC on the identification and registration of animals with a reference to Council Directive 2008/71/EC of 15th July 2008 on the identification and registration of pigs.
2008/71/EC consolidates the provisions of Council Directive 92/102/EEC so far as they relate to domesticated pigs.
A Regulatory Impact Assessment has not been prepared for this Order as it has no impact on the costs of business or the voluntary sector.
