The Scottish Ministers make the following Order in exercise of the power conferred by section 50(2) of the Glasgow Commonwealth Games Act 2008(1).
1. This Order may be cited as the Glasgow Commonwealth Games Act 2008 (Repeal Day) Order 2014 and comes into force on 1st January 2015.
2. 1st January 2015 is specified as the repeal day on which the Glasgow Commonwealth Games Act 2008 ceases to have effect.

Section 50 of the Glasgow Commonwealth Games Act 2008 provides for that Act to cease to have effect on the "repeal day". This Order specifies that the repeal day is 1st January 2015.
