JUDGE LEVY QC: This is an appeal by Mr Gareth Davies against the decision of the Industrial Tribunal held at Cardiff on 11 January 1993, the decision having been communicated to the parties on 12 February 1993. Briefly, Mr Davies was an employee at the A & A Tyres & Exhaust Centre and after an incident during his employment on 18 February 1992, Mr Davies was summarily dismissed. The Tribunal below unanimously held that the application should be dismissed and then gave their reasons for it.

The Employment Appeal Tribunal directed an ex parte hearing for Mr Davies to show cause why the appeal should go ahead. Mr Davies has not appeared this afternoon.

We feel that the decision below was entirely justified in accordance with the reasons given. Accordingly, we dismiss this appeal.
