Summary: The complainant made a request for information relating to the costs of producing programmes, in particular BBC Northern Ireland-™s programme -˜Blueprint-™. They also requested the amount the BBC paid William Crawley to present the programme. The BBC responded by providing some of the information but stating that the remainder was held for the purposes of art, journalism or literature and was therefore derogated. The Commissioner-™s decision is that the BBC correctly determined that the information is held to a significant extent for these purposes and therefore the BBC is not obliged to comply with Parts I to V of the Act.
