Summary: The complainant requested information from the BBC regarding the number of search warrants obtained by the BBC over a ten year period in relation to its enforcement of the TV Licence. The BBC refused to disclose the information under section 31(1)(a)(b)(d) and (g) of the Act. The Commissioner-™s decision is that the information is exempt under section 31(1) (a)(b)(d) and (g) and that the public interest in maintaining the exemption outweighs the public interest in disclosure of the information. Information Tribunal appeal number EA/2010/0087 dismissed.
Section of Act/EIR & Finding: FOI 31 - Complaint Not upheld
