Summary: The complainant made requests to the BBC for minutes and correspondence involving the BBC Trust in relation to a policy of the BBC being -˜pro or anti climate change-™. The BBC stated that it did not hold any information relevant to the request, but that if information were held, it would fall outside the scope of the Act because it would be information held for the purposes of journalism, art or literature. The Commissioner-™s decision is that the requested information, if it existed, would be genuinely held for the purposes of journalism. Therefore the BBC was not obliged to comply with Parts I to V of the Act in respect of the requests.
