Summary: The complainant requested a considerable amount of information about the BBC-™s Panorama programme. He made one new request for information and also requested the same information that was subject to the Commissioner-™s previous Decision Notices FS50237250, FS50265735, FS50265739, FS50266075 and FS50316361. The BBC stated that the requested information fell outside the scope of the Act because it is information held for the purposes of art, journalism or literature. The Commissioner-™s decision is that the BBC correctly determined that the requested information is genuinely held for the purposes of journalism. Therefore the BBC was not obliged to comply with Parts I to V of the Act. Information Tribunal appeal number EA/2010/0187 dismissed.
