Summary: The complainant asked Cambridgeshire Constabulary (the -public authority-) to provide information relating to European Arrest Warrants. The public authority refused to disclose this using the exemptions in sections 23(1) (information supplied by, or relating to, bodies dealing with security matters) and 30(1) (investigations and proceedings conducted by public authorities) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the -Act-). During the Commissioner-s investigation the public authority confirmed that it wished to rely on section 23(1) in respect of the entire information request. The Commissioner-s decision is that the exemption in section 23 is engaged. He has therefore not considered the applicability of the other exemption. The complaint is not upheld.
