BAILII is celebrating 24 years of free online access to the law! Would you consider making a contribution?
No donation is too small. If every visitor before 31 December gives just £1, it will have a significant impact on BAILII's ability to continue providing free access to the law.
Thank you very much for your support!

Summary: The complainant has requested details of a vessel survey on the Oxford Canal during a specified time period. British Waterways disclosed some information to the complainant, but withheld the remaining information under the law enforcement exemption (FOIA section 31) and the personal information of third parties exemption (FOIA section 40(2)). The Commissioner-™s decision is that British Waterways has correctly relied upon these exemptions to withhold the outstanding information. Therefore the Commissioner does not require British Waterways to take any steps.
