Summary: The complainant requested information held by the Crown Prosecution Service (the CPS) relating to an incident in which he was a victim of a serious crime. The CPS refused to confirm or deny what information it held in reliance on the exemptions at sections 23(1), 24(2), 30(3), 40(5)(a) and refused to disclose certain personal information under section 40(2) of the FOIA. The Commissioner-™s decision is that the CPS was entitled to rely on these exemptions, and the Commissioner does not require the CPS to take any further action in this case.
