Summary: The complainant requested a breakdown about the number of people who work in a BBC radio department and the number of hours that they work. The BBC explained the information was covered by the derogation and excluded from the FOIA. The Commissioner-™s decision is that this information was held by the BBC genuinely for the purposes of -˜journalism, art or literature-™ and did not fall inside the FOIA. He therefore upholds the BBC-™s position and requires no remedial steps to be taken in this case.
