Summary: The complainant has requested information about complaints received regarding the BBC-™s coverage of the royal wedding on 29 April 2011 and the total cost of broadcasting it. The BBC explained the information was covered by the derogation and therefore excluded from the FOIA. The Commissioner-™s decision is that this information is held by the BBC genuinely for the purposes of -˜journalism, art or literature-™ and does not fall under the FOIA. He therefore upholds the BBC-™s position and requires no steps to be taken.
