Summary: The complainant has requested information about redundancies and re-employment of those made redundant by Nottinghamshire County Council (the -council-). The council provided some of the requested information but refused one element of the request on the basis that the estimated cost of providing the information would exceed the appropriate limit under section 12(1) of FOIA. The Commissioner-s decision is that the council correctly relied on section 12(1) in refusing to provide the requested information and that it provided advice and assistance in accordance with section 16(1). He does not require the council to take any further steps.
